PITT has a contract to play at Heinz field but there are considerations being made for other venues since games may not be able to have fans attend if we move from green back to yellow....which is very possible in the late fall.

So the plan for social distancing is to go to a smaller venue?

I think he was assuming if no fans were allowed. Then why rent Heinz Field? However, Highmark would still be extremely unlikely as Narduzzi would demand (and rightfully so) to play at "our" actual stadium. I could see Temple playing at Franklin Field or a HS though. Perhaps Miami would play at a local HS or FIU's stadium if no fans are allowed.

Why in the world would Pitt do this? Why would they rent a stadium that doesn't have the infrastructure to hold games? Highmark field doesn't have locker rooms to fit 100+ roster, television production facilities, TV platforms, medical facilities, media area ect that Heinz field has.

This! If there's a college football season teams will play at their regular stadiums.

If they are going to play without fans that HF is one of the better stadiums for that since the yellow stands out and matches close to Pitt yellow.

If they play with fans then HF is also a good venue because it can allow for more social distancing.

So of course, Pitt will likely play at Highmark Stadium.

The visiting players would just bring their own pads and change in their parents car in the parking lots. We did this in grade school.

I’m not sure who would be responsible for the orange slices at halftime though. Pitt parents would probably just rotate and the other parents would take turns setting up and braking down the fields before and after games.

Could you imagine if this happened, the field day ACC coaches would have at our expense on the recruiting trail?

You have the recruiting angle backwards. HCPN "Play for us and you don't have to change in the car for any of the games. Go to FSU or UNC, you have to change under the stands, and you get no orange slices at all."
