While the distance, location and matchup matter, I think its a bit overlooked at when the games are actually held. I know that I can't ditch the entire work week between Christmas and New Years, so the Dec. 28th games would be tough to get to.

Potentially - I'll have to look at flights, hotels, etc. Obviously its a more expensive trip since its on the other side of the country. Have you been there this time of year before? Any insight on weather and experience?

I am, it's probably the only one I'd be able to get to.

As hard as it is for many to get there it's easy for me. Nonstop flights less than $300 from Vegas, only about a 90 minute flight.

From what I read, it doesn't sound like Tier 1 is guaranteed like everybody thinks it is. That ACC document states that there is no more 1 win rule. But people in social media say all 8-4 teams are locked into Tier 1 so we believe them and not the ACC.

There's no 1-win rule... but there is a 6-6 rule. No 6-6 (or worse) team can be placed before any 8-win team.
