For the fourth time since it moved into its South Side football complex in 2000 and second time in the past three years, Pitt is considering changing the surface of one of the two practice fields the university maintains, a potentially costly side effect of the numerous leadership changes the athletic department and, specifically, football program have undergone in that time frame....................................

Mr. Barnes said if Pitt does decide to go ahead with the conversion, it would begin fundraising for the project. Pitt declined to disclose financial details on how previous conversions were financed.
The question is? Do we get solicited on here? And better yet, do we actually know and see the fruits of our donations? Maybe a simple picture of a thank you plaque.
Here is a idea. Never donate OUTSIDE of the University.
NOTE: East Allegheny is a school district falling apart at the seams, literally! The football field was deemed unsafe for play. That's right, two months ago, a brand spanking new, full color, synthetic turf playing field installed, set, in the middle of a doom and gloom setting. In the mean time, their teachers have not had a raise going on 4 years, or is it 5?
