As a former Pitt player, I received an email from Pat Bostick this morning asking for a donation to the Pitt Football Excellence Fund, which is geared toward evening the playing field with our ACC rivals. To illustrate the disparity in facilities, they included a PDF file that had photos of the locker rooms and meeting rooms of our competition. (Florida State's facilities are ridiculous.)
The document also showed our current facilities (subpar) and what our facilities will look like after the renovations. We still won't be on FSU's level, but we will on par with Clemson and Virginia Tech.
Since this email went out to all football alumni, I hope some of our NFL standouts will up their donations in order to pay for these renovations -- and future changes as well.
