Recruiting Update Pitt gets in early with Thorpe

Today is the first day coaches can contact 2017 prospects, so at midnight last night, the Pitt staff was firing off direct messages on Twitter to all of the top recruits. We're getting feedback from those recruits, and Central Catholic lineman CJ Thorpe tells me that four Pitt coaches sent him messages last night. He said that Pitt was the first school to contact him at midnight, although Penn State was close behind.

This is going to be a Pitt-Penn State battle. PSU may have an early lead, but Pitt's not far behind.
