It would depend on how many apply and who they are. I don't know how many grad transfers there are usually, but it has served us well this year for sure.If everybody comes back, then a good Grad Transfer Center would be perfect. We would be a Top 10 team.

Well... we are losing 4 seniors and that is two starters at guard and the two players playing C.
Replacing Robinson is the biggest thing but we have Wilson and Milligan for that so at least there is a plan. I would expect with them, you would get more scoring but we won't be getting the leadership, consistency in ball handling, etc, that Robinson brings. Robinson is one of those players that you don't realize how significant he is until he is gone.
But, Wilson and Milligan both have significant potential so we will just have to see.
At SG however, things are not so clear. You would think Jones would slide into that slot but he has been inconsistent and has not excelled. Doesn't put up a lot of missed shots but doesn't put many in the hoop either and has been inconsistent on D also. Possibly Clark coming in but.... we should not expect that given 1 year of JUCO experience.
The other possibility is Milligan starting at SG, but that is probably not gonna happen either as he is needed to spell Wilson and probably play some at SG also as he is a scorer. Yeah, I really liked the little I saw of Milligan but he is a smallish guard. Really quick though and high energy.
The 4th possibility is Slim... and that might turn out to be a real possibility if he can handle the D side of SG. Dixon though, has been playing him more at SF than SG.
At C... Dixon has said that Nix is good running up and down the court but needs to get better with his lateral movement. We have no idea if he has but if so... he will start at C in no uncertain terms and be a monster there.
Manigault has potential but will be a freshman coming in.
If Luther continues to improve he will be ready for regular rotation minutes come next year but... he is undersized at C and sometimes has problems there due to that.
Like you I was thinking they could go for a grad transfer C but if they are serious about this kid then they are either confident in the players they have or... there just ain't anybody out there.
Kithcart, Milligan, and Wilson can play the 1 or 2. Clark, Jones, and Cam can play the 2. Cam, Jones, Artis can play the 3. Young, Jeter, Luther, Manigault can play the 4. We have some some guys that can the 5, but they get exploited against good teams with size (Purdue, Ville). Bring in a 5 that can play right away and we are in very good shape for next year.Well... we are losing 4 seniors and that is two starters at guard and the two players playing C.

I thought we were in the picture with the kid from Canada, can't recall his name - Young maybe? Pretty sure he was projected as a center.
Dude - Justice Kithkart is going to be this teams PG ...
You must be kidding me. Fields did not start as a freshman.... neither did the guy that came before him. Don't know about Knight but would be surprised if even he started as a freshman.
Robinson did.... but that was because Dixon didn't have anyone else any good to play guard and so he started Woodall at SG and Robinson at PG. And the thing is, Robinson was exceptional at ball handling and running an offense. Most good PGs are better scorers than Robinson but not comparable in the other things.
Unless things change... Wilson will be starting at PG come next October. He is a 4 star recruit and Dixon brought him in a year before Robinson left so he could have a year to get some experience. This is more important for PGs than any other position.
It always amazes me that people see what players do in HS and think they can step into college and do the same thing.
Almost never happens.
Like one game??It didn't take James that long to start either, if I recall correctly.
Hey what's up phatwood. Don't post on TOS anymore, good to see you.Levance Fields actually started his first career game. Just an FYI.
He had 12 points and 5 assists. Carl Krauser had 13 points and 5 assists.
This place is much better. Watching ten trolls trying to out troll each other got dull over there. I actually take a peek sometimes, but seems I can't get in anymore. No loss. What's up Kiwi? Came over here because I wanted some level of basketball talk that wasn't completely trolled out.
Looks like I got here just in time, as TOS appears to have fallen in to the abyss.
Like one game??
(That's why I asked.....shhhhhhhhh)It didn't actually take James any games to become a starter. The starting five in his first game of his freshman season was Patterson, Zanna, Adams, Woodall and Robinson.
Knight started as a freshman
LOL. This is ridiculous. Tell me how we turn a post about (recruiting) a big man into a post about point guards and how much they played. FOCUS PEOPLE !!! I believe Dixon will bring in a juco or grad transfer center. Manigault is the heir apparent to Young and just like Wilson this year with Robinson will learn behind him. Playing him at center is just stupid and a waste of a scholarship. Why bring in a juco 7 footer with two years to play to sit the bench. Isn't it time we gave up on that 6"9 center idea ?
