It's an incredibly uneventful Thursday at work, and I usually spend this time scouring the internet for anything to take my mind anywhere else. And since there is quite literally no Pitt news, I want to start a thread of any Pitt hypotheticals you want to talk about. Could be serious ones, or could be totally imaginary ones. Recruiting, Scheduling, anything! Post yours in the thread below
Here's mine:
If you were in charge of creating new conferences in college football who would you put in Pitt's hypothetical new conference? I would recreate and enhance the old Big East:
North:
1. Pitt
2. Penn State
3. Boston College
4. Syracuse
5. UCONN
6. Temple
7. Rutgers
South:
1. West Virginia
2. Virginia Tech
3. Miami (FL)
4. Louisville
5. Cincinnati
6. South Florida
7. Virginia
Permanent Crossovers are numbered. 8 game conference slate so a rotating 8th opponent, just like in the current ACC. Pitt would be incredibly competitive every year - but there's always a chance they'd have to play Penn State, West Virginia, and Miami in a given year. Obviously it would be considered one of the Power 5/6 conferences. What do you think?
