A lot of people are predicting Pitt to the Pinstripe Bowl against either Indiana or Wisconsin. Here is a quick look at each team.
Indiana
--They're 6-6 (2-6 in B10).
--They have a very productive QB and RB, and consequently Indy scores a lot of points.
--QB Nate Sudfeld: 290 yds/gm, 61%, 8.8 Y/A, 24 TD, 5 Int -- he doesn't run, but he also doesn't get sacked (only 9x total). He had very poor games against Iowa and Ohio State, but he had a very big game against Michigan State, and a decent game against Michigan.
--RB Jordan Howard: 135 yds/gm, 6.2 yds/carry, 9 TD. He had many huge games, including against Iowa (174, 7.9, 2) and Michigan (238, 6.8, 2). He's built like a bruiser (6-1, 230). Backup Devine Redding averages 65 yds/gm, but most of that was in mop-up duty.
--Only 1 of their top-3 WR's is taller than 5-10, and that's top receiver Simmie Cobbs (6-4, 212): 74 yds/gm, 4 TD.
--Indiana's defense is terrible. They gave up 47 to Southern Illinois, 35 to Western Kentucky, 29 to Ped State, 55 to Rutgers, 52 to MSU, 48 to Michigan, 36 to Purdue.
--As good as it gets: took Michigan to OT, gave Iowa a game (only losing by 8), gave OSU a game (only losing by 7), routed Maryland and Purdue (combined 5-19)
--As bad as it gets: demolished by Ped State, beat 3-8 Southern Illinois by only 1, couldn't hold onto a 25-pt lead against Rutgers at home (losing 52-55).
--Their O can keep games close, but they bleed points and lose to any P5 school worth a damn.
Wisconsin
--They're 9-3 (6-2 in B10).
--They score a pretty consistent 24 to 31 pts/gm behind generally OK-ish QB and RB play.
--QB Joel Stave: 206 yds/gm, 60%, 7.2 Y/A, 10 TD, 11 Int -- he really doesn't run, and he's susceptible to sacks if a D is dialed in on him, but usually not. He's had some really bad games against good teams, with a big game over 5-7 Nebraska as his only decent one against a decent team.
--RB's Dare Ogunbowale and Taiwan Deal each average about 60 yds/gm and 4.2 yds/carry, with 13 total TD's between them. They are filling in for injured superstar Corey Clement who was recently cited for disorderly conduct - no idea if he plays in the bowl game or not.
--WR Alex Erickson is far and away their top target: 72 receptions, 77 yds/gm, 3 TD. He's thankfully not big: 6-0, 197.
--Wisconsin's D is very stingy, giving up 13 or less points in 8 of their games. It should be noted their in-conference schedule is very easy compared to Indiana's, and they gave up 21-24 points to Nebraska, Maryland, and Minnesota (and 35 to Alabama).
--As good as it gets: gave Iowa a game (losing only by 3), came back twice at Nebraska to win by 2, crushed the teams they should have.
--As bad as it gets: needed tons of turnovers to beat 5-7 Minnesota, 3-9 Maryland, and 5-7 Illinois; took forever to put away 2-10 Purdue.
--Their D can keep them in games, but the O has under-performed against their easy schedule.
