Ty-Juan Garbutt was wondering when his first scholarship offer would come in. The answer was Friday, June 5, 2015.
That was the day that Garbutt, a defensive end prospect in the class of 2017 at Fredericksburg (Va.) Riverbend worked out for the Pitt coaches, and the result was what he was hoping for.
"They pulled me aside after the camp and I met with the coaches and they asked me if I had any offers," Garbutt told Panther-Lair.com. "I told them no, I didn't, and they said, 'You have an offer to play here.'
"I was excited. I was about to jump out of my seat."
