Great to see Pickett still exude confidence, though I am still waiting to see if he will be able to throw the deep ball more and with consistent accuracy this year (unlike the Other QBs last year). From
the highlights it looks like he threw a tad behind the receiver at times. Won’t be able to get away with that against talented Power 5 DBs But it is just the first game.
I only got to see a little bit of the second half, but the offensive playcalling I did see during that time felt rather predictable and safe.
The fact that Pitt struggled to score in the second half against this opponent apparently seems to concerns me a bit more than most on this board.
I know these guys will get better... but I want to know why Pitt wasn’t able to put up one touchdown in the 2nd half. It does t look good no matter what excuse gets used.
