Let's get ready for some Football!!!! Great Read & Excerpts:

There's been a lot of talk among the players about their goal of winning the ACC championship this season. Bisnowaty put it in perspective. “If it's not our goal, then we (would) question why we are here,” he said....................

Offensive coordinator Matt Canada, who showed more intensity at practice than his predecessor Jim Chaney normally did, was especially vociferous during a drill in which defenders tried to strip the football from the carrier. “How can you fumble the ball when you know they are going to knock it out?” he said. “Everyone has a high school diploma.”

“Everybody knows we have a little bit of depth on the offensive line,” Narduzzi said.

His criteria for the player chosen to start: “We are going to find out who can stay healthy, who can mentally stay in the game, who physically can do the job.”

Biz is becoming a leader on offense. I saw a tweet yesterday where he was giving Brandon Ford grief for not putting enough effort into holding the blocking pad. Biz was pushing him back to easy and he didn't like it.

He's not just becoming a leader on O. He has been a team leader for a couple of years now. Jordan Whitehead has taken on a leadership role as well. James Conner is an unquestioned team leader and is probably the most inspirational player in the country. It's a big assetr when the team's best players are also its unquestioned leaders. I think this year's team has the best leadership, chemistry and attitude of any Pitt team in a very long time. Narduzzi is hugely responsible for that. That stuff matters more than most people think. It will be fun to see how it translates on the field this year.
