Conner said the NFL can wait. “I feel there is no need for (declaring for the draft now),” he said. “I just want to make a smart decision. I had a couple issues in the past. I'm just going to take my time and see what's the smartest move.” Conner said the NFL “was definitely on my mind” last year before he injured his knee. After all, he was ACC Player of the Year in 2014 after rushing for 1,765 yards. “If I had another big year, after my true junior year (2015), I would have sat back and thought about it at the time, too,” he said.
