Pitt-NOTRE DAME Game Day Results:
Pretty much went as I expected, but I like what I saw from Pitt and Coaches too! Again, Pitt had far less Talent but played the whole game. Coach Pat & Chaney not afraid of taking risks, playing Whitehead, and has confidence in Special Teams that just missed. They ran up yardage and tried to comeback even against some horrible ACC Ref calls and Non-Calls. Yet, made no excuses by saying they gave up too much of the run, dropped key balls, and still credited Notre Dame Players and what Kelly has put together at Notre Dame. If any Top Recruit cannot see how much they are needed at Pitt as well as how they will be coached, well, I really don't want them coming to Pitt, they lack smarts, vision and do not know what is important and Narduzzi will win without them? Smart Beats Dumb in this Life! Peterman is getting better and better, other Wideouts are coming forth. Whitehead was so agile and fast no one touched him, on his TD? Special Teams played good and just missed changing the game a few times. This Team can win the next 3 games if they play just a tad better, and 2 of 3 too, and only if they get down go 0-3! I don't see that happening. I see a Coach Pat & Staff, Pitt Players and as a Team learning from every loss! Not repeating old mistakes but making a few new ones and that is expected against teams with bigger and better talent overall. The Attitude is never give up and just get better and I predict they will these last 3 games! Grade D and D- for the Predictions, got ND right both times but scores way off since ND got 42 but Pitt got 30, and never gave up.

Pitt and Notre Dame have played Virginia and Georgia Tech. Pitt barely won both games and Notre Dame almost lost to Virginia, but beat Georgia Tech easily. This is November and the better teams are playing the Best Ball. Notre Dame has played a tougher schedule as well! Pitt is an Average Team until Chaney produces a complete offense over 4 Quarters? Pitt can’t beat Notre Dame unless the Irish make big mistakes? I predicted the Team that loses the UNC-PITT game could have a mental letdown and I think Pitt Coaches & Players have confidence problem right now. I went with my Heart last week, but today I must go with my Head. Pitt can beat Notre Dame but until we see a Pitt Offense they may not beat Duke, ULou, or Miami either? It could be a blow out too, if Pitt players do not execute and the coaches are as bad as they both did against UNC? If Coach Narduzzi wants to have Pitt shine and go into the remainder games with confidence they better start having the Players execute on Offense!

Look at the Talent Comparison Pitt has to overcome in the coming years. When Johnny majors took over Pitt lost to Notre Dame for 2 straight years with bigger gaps in scores, as the New Pitt Coaches change the Attitudes and increased the Talent Level and Experiences for the Pitt Program. Great Coaching needs time to increase the caliber of play and talent to form Great teams. Pitt played a Great team today but Pitt coaching is on the way up too. This far better than is what is happening at WVU or Penn State? I am Buoyed & Boyded on what is happening at Pitt and Smart Recruits are coming to Pitt if they see what is happening and what they learn to play right way under coach Pat & Staff!!!
