Just a heads up for the Ohio State game ... Peacock TV has a sale now for only $1.99/mo for the first 6 months .. cancel anytime ... seems a good choice to watch Friday's game ...

Comcast/Universal has made some bizarre business moves. They got rid of NBC Sports Network and moved their EPL coverage to USA. Now they got a decent slice of Big Ten basketball that they have nowhere to put so they put it on Peacock. Also some random B10 football games on Peacock. Now they are spinning off MSNBC and several other cable companies into a new public company.
They put the sporting events on Peacock to try to drive subscriptions. They are attempting to sell off the cable companies because they don't make them any money today, and their outlook for making money in the future is even worse. There is a better chance that those networks won't exist at all in ten year than they will still be around in their current form.
Neither of those is the least bit bizarre.
MSNBC is being rumored as an investment possibility for Elon Musk. He's seriously considering it. Comcast just wants to unload a network that is losing viewership faster than a sinking Titanic.
CNN and MSNBC split the left-wing audience. I've always said there is a market for a truly objective mainstream station. CNN runs a panel type show in the evenings where they have 1-2 right-wingers and its a really good watch because you get to hear their point of view.I believe the word on the street is they want to sell MSNBC and require a name change as part of the sale. NBC claims it is losing viewership because of a connotation with MSNBC and doesn't want MSNBC dragging down the NBC name. So MSNBC will still be around in some sense, but I bet that name is gone within a year.
Elon has oligarch money. Research Hungary media and what happened when the right rich bought it all up. It sounds like the left billionaires won’t sit this one out at least. Musk also stands to rake in even more money. How? Kill the EV tax credit, which will plummet sales of all non Tesla competitors. Also he will get massive starlink contracts from the new FCC chair. Glad he and Vivek will be cutting down on waste thoughCNN and MSNBC split the left-wing audience. I've always said there is a market for a truly objective mainstream station. We know Kim Jong Un was a Bulls fan. Is he a college basketball fan too? Someone needs to hit that man up for a college dream team. For those Game of Thrones fans, Elon reminds me of Tywin Lannister in that he has so much money, he is more poweful than the state. He can buy whatever he wants, influence whatever he wants. In some ways, he is the most poweful person in the world. He cant stay interested in things for too long so I cant wait to see what he does when he gives up his government obsession. I hope he gets into the NIL game just for fun. Or maybe buys a country.
Except Tywin was deep in debt with the Iron Bank. I don't think Elon owes anybody any money. For those Game of Thrones fans, Elon reminds me of Tywin Lannister in that he has so much money, he is more poweful than the state. Drive 3 hours west and attend the game in person. I will be there.Just a heads up for the Ohio State game ... Peacock TV has a sale now for only $1.99/mo for the first 6 months .. cancel anytime ... seems a good choice to watch Friday's game ...
MSNBC caters to the far-left bat shit crazy audience. It's almost the left equivalent of Alex Jones level of insanity.CNN and MSNBC split the left-wing audience. CNBC Is a legitimate channel that gives good business coverage all day long… I have it on often. I am knowledgeable about financial markets, stocks, bonds, strategies, etc, but I’ve learned plenty from that channel. It has strong ad support by dozens major firms and isn’t going anywhere. Not so sure about the other one.MSNBC will still be around but do they also need CNBC? Do they need a channel devoted to Golf 24/7 or can they rebrand that as a sports channel and add EPL & Big Ten?

CNBC is a good channel. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. It gives real business news and even regular news. You are as wrong about this as you are about playing PIAA Championships at middle schools.

PIAA Poll said that said you’re wrong about Eagleview middle school, and that’s the only one that matters.
Another poll said Red Lots are great tailgating spots.
Why don't you contact the PIAA and/or Cumberland Valley School District and complain? Or write a letter or an email.I am sure CNBC is a good channel. I'm just saying nobody watches it and if there was one channel that had to get axed, that might be the one.
And you remain wrong about playing championship games at middle schools? What PIAA Poll? Did they ask the players if they preferred Philly Union or Eagle View Middle School? I bet not.

Squawking about it on a college sports message board probably isn't going to change that fact.
It's not the "middle school field" It's their high school field on the same campus, just happens to be slightly closer to the middle school but you simply don't want to admit that.
"HS doesn't own it" LOLStop saying its their HS field. That is so stupid because it isnt. If you want to say its the school district's field, then fine, but its not the high school's field. Its attached to the Middle School. The MS teams use it. The HS doesn't own it.
"HS doesn't own it" LOL
Stop saying it’s their middle school field .. it’s notCorrect. The field belongs to the school district. And it’s used by MS teams and HS soccer and HS lacrosse. It’s not a "high school field."
Stop saying it’s their middle school field .. it’s not
Now you’ve gone middle ground trying back peddle
Now it’s the school districts field… middle ground
Just like every districts fields have many uses .. who uses it more? High school, far more.
Middle school soccer doesn’t even play in the fall… fact … nor does lacrosse
He likely will be too busy watching MSNBC instead of CNBCHe's going to have an absolute fit some day when he either looks at a map or actually goes to a game at Norwin and he sees that Norwin's stadium is actually closer to the middle school than the high school.
Might give the poor guy the vapors!

Good pointNot sure if this changed since I left the trading desk, but CNBC is on TV all day at every trading desk around the country and probably world. Back then Bloomberg TV was not popular, but now that could replace it.
Home viewership has to be bad, though. I remember after 9/11 Ron Insana broadcasting live with noticeable dust on his head from the buildings falling.
