..........“Their advantage is they run it every day, and we (defend) it once a year,” Narduzzi said.............In the past three games against triple-option offenses, including a disastrous performance last season against Navy in the Military Bowl, Pitt has allowed 1,258 yards on running plays (7.2 per attempt). Asked to explain what happened in the 44-28 loss to Navy, Narduzzi didn't want to get into specifics. “Because I'll just be blabbering on,” he said.
.............
“We didn't play very good,” he said. “I obviously did a bad job of getting them ready for the game. You got seniors departing, thinking about where they're going next, what's their next move, (saying) ‘Where am I going to train (for the NFL Draft)?' “They seemed like they weren't fired up at first. Then, we got them fired up, and we thought we had them ready, but it was a tough three weeks of defending the option, which I don't think is fun.” The difference this year is Narduzzi will spread out the preparations, having spent several periods during August training camp working on Georgia Tech's offense, even though the game was two months in the future. “I feel so much more comfortable coming into this game than we did a year ago,”.................

Lack of athleticism of the Pitt LB at large concerns me. Otherwise, very, very glad to play a squad that can't and doesn't look to pass to win.

I agree and great to see a Coach like Pat & Staff always trying to keep focus on the team ahead, and prepare them, but up to players to execute. i enjoy watching and reading how Pat Narduzzi is rebuilding the Program.
