My cardiologist knows all to well, I sit on the couch and flip through a shameful number of sporting events.

The great majority of those events, in this era of games every night and all on HD TV, typically have half to three quarter empty arenas or stadiums.

How is that Pitt seems the only school whose teams are continously judged by its crowds? Not only locally, but as we just heard, now on a national halftime.

News to Mount Baldy, a small crowd has nothing to do with that crappy half.

Where is everybody? Is it because of the lack of students? It looks to me like the empty seats are those of regular fans.I guess a home game in Jan.v.Wake Forest is more important than a tournament game. And to Dan Daukich....What calls are we getting from the refs?

Are you watching the game? Yawn....it has been poorly played and dreadfully boring. Heck, the 3 minute talk about the annoucers hair was the highlight of the first half. for me. Only reason Pitt fans get upset about attendance talk is because they know it is true. Oh well, perhaps Jamie can get his hair up and get this team to play in the second half? Hail to Pitt!

It's unfortunate yes ... but why it's far from something that is only true of Pitt.

Team stinks and loses = Crowds go down. It's almost universally true of every team, in every sport, including every team in this town. Only Pitt, uniquely, seems obligated to overcome that principle. It's just head shaking, is all.

If you are pissed about attendance talk...apparently you are using it as a diversion of the real problem...this team SUCKS and has QUIT. GW blows....so maybe they come back? But wow....some really awful basketball. Hail to Pitt!

It's more than that.. yes.. the crowds would have been bad no matter what...but...

They had two days to sell tickets to a meaningless game that was of course, not part of any ticket package.

People only care about one tournament, the NCAAs..

I am more concerned about why people DON"T get this.
