Edwards was ranked #7 by one service but between 80 and 100 by two others. Another frosh, Connor McGaffic, actually was ranked higher by one.
I think the key to the team is going to be pitching. Harris throws 3 to 5 mph harder than she did as a frosh. Or at least it looked that way on Periscope. The frosh pitcher, Brittany Knight, started great. In the first six games, she was 4-0 with a zero ERA. Against Nebraska, she gave up two runs in the 1st, but then settled down and shut them down the next 5 innings. Then she needed help from Harris coming from the bullpen in the 7th. In her next start, she got hit hard by Northwestern and Harris again had to come in from the bullpen.
By the way, a lot of the weekend games are on Periscope. I think it is the father of soph pitcher Sarah Dawson who videos them. Not great weather in Tallahassee, but a lot warmer than Massachusetts.
