Pitt sold most of its Clemson allotment

They could of sold them all if they would have sold them to none season ticket holders. I called them for tickets and they would not sell them to me. I bought my off of Stub Hub. Stupid rule. Again this is why they can't sell out home games or get full crowds to road games.

who are(were) you?

That might be what Clemson told you, but I know for a fact that the Pitt ticket office sold out. And I know that because I have a couple friends who are season ticket holders who called last week for tickets. I don't see why Pitt should have lied about this. They were directed to Stub Hub.

And as I said in my last post, the tickets Pitt returned could have been player family/coach family tickets. Pitt reserves X amount of tickets for families of players and coaches. If they reserved 500, and only 450 claimed them, then there's 50 to return to Clemson. It is customary to return these types of tickets as schools usually reserve more for families than they typically need. These are the types of tickets PSU returned to us and probably the type that ND returned last year when it was reported they returned tickets to us. Everyone does.

The ticket office does a good job. The only problem is malcontent numnuts. Like you.

Some of the stories I have heard are simply amazing. I've heard multiple stories of people trying to return bowl game tickets or cancel pre-game reception attendance because of scheduling conflicts [and other stuff that is beyond comprehension]--and the people are furious and demanding if Pitt does not comply. We were doing a free event here in PHL for Pitt once and took grief because the entryway to the event was claimed to not be ADA compliant. I smiled and offered the woman her money back--which at least shut her up. Working with and for these kinds of people must be painstaking! The poor people that try to raise money for Pitt have to hear this kind of stuff so much--I actually feel sorry for them. Hail to Pitt!

Yeah, I'm sure the ticket office screws up occasionally, but I personally think it is the person on the other side of the phone that is the issue the majority of the time.

Personally, I've never had an issue.
