UPMC Rooney Sports Performance Complex.

Will have to line 1 field down the middle instead of the 4 80 yard field setup currently. Temporary locker rooms built for visiting teams. No fans allowed.

If there is a season, most college and pro teams will use practice facilities for games.

Mark this down as an SMF prediction.

They would want to televise to make revenue so they of course will use Heinz

They should just play the games in your back yard. You could be the steady QB.

It would only be for TV. I guess they could use Heinz but would they want to open those big facilities for a game with no fans? I figured they could build temporary TV booth at these practice facilities.

what happened to Pitt emblem?

WTF is wrong with you. Do you just stare off into space til some ridiculous notion pops into your head?

They have a signed lease. They pay to use HF.

They are not going to pay rent on a facility only to avoid using it.

Please tell me you are not a schoolteacher. I would worry about the kids if you were.

I am not and they may very well play at Heinz but not because they have a signed lease. That's far down on the list given what's happening. If large stadiums are used for games with no fans, the only reason to use them is:

- adequate locker rooms for visiting teams
- many locations for cameras to get different angles

I cant imagine nfl and college footbsll would be played without fans. That would be a poor product and would greatly effect viewership. Possibly having a very detrimental and long term effect on football.

Meh
More tv camera time on the field instead of drunken idiots in the stands is better than me
Yeah I’m just thinking that the barren ambience would greatly effect the on field performance which would effect the tv product.

maybe not, we are in uncharted territory here. Something about watching a sporting event with screaming crowds and seeing the players feed off that. I could see football players getting up for a game in an empty venue for a little bit but week in and week out, it would take its toll sooner or later.

on a good note, the silly TD celebrations would go away. No point in them

Those are for tv anyway

I have already predicted there will be no fans allowed this season.

Another one: if the season is played, TV ratings for NFL and college football will be all-time highs. Ya know why?

Well you are gonna tell us anyways do go ahead.

because we are all quarantined and everything is closed and we have absolutely no other options to entertain us? I’m 24 hours away from watching bob ross reruns on YouTube, seeing him paint happy little trees isn’t looking so bad here soon enough.

Start a day earlier with this one.

I'm not a violent person, but Bob Ross's voice makes me want to punch him in the face. A fact that I'm not proud of, but true nonetheless.

"And far more importantly because theyre paying to use the facility, crowds or not"

Fixed

Temple will win the national championship, as the Owls are used to empty seats better than anyone. Even pitt.

Bingo! Plus 0 attendance increases it as well.

Huge ratings coming to the NFL and College Football!
Well, we are watching YouTube reruns of pitt regular season games from 20 years ago so yes, live football content would do well I suppose.

This^ The Pitt and Steeler locker rooms are only used on game day so it's easier to go in and deep clean/sterilize before and after games. There's also the press boxes for the coaches and limited amount of media which the Performance Center doesn't have.
