The Pylon Midwest Super Regional seven-on-seven tournament was held in Youngstown this weekend, and several Pitt targets were among the standout performers. From Rivals.com Midwest analyst Josh Helmholdt's review of the tournament:

2017 Clairton CB Lamont Wade
Saturday recap (No. 2 performer): "Wade is nearly the 2017 version of Wayne Davis - a solidly built cornerback with outstanding coverage skills. What really stood about Wade on Saturday was his explosive break on the football. When he sees the football come out of the quarterback's hand, the sophomore corner is a blur to the interception point. He picked off a pass in the flats that few other cornerbacks would have gotten to thanks to that outstanding break on the football. Wade is not afraid to be physical at the line of scrimmage and he has the recovery speed to take chances."

Sunday recap (No. 5 performer): "Wade backed up his standout Saturday with another impressive showing on Sunday, even though his Team 412 went down in their first game of the day. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound cornerback has such an exceptional combination of speed and awareness that no matter what opposing wide receivers try to do to him, he seems attached to their hip. After seeing what he did Saturday, teams knew to stay away from him and he broke up the three passes that were thrown his way."

2016 Palatine (Ill.) Fremd DB Kenney Lyke
Sunday recap (No. 10 performer): "The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Lyke was a big presence in the middle of Core 6 Illinois' secondary. He was very good during Saturday's pool play, but even better in Sunday's tournament play when he intercepted a pass in each of his team's first two games. Lyke plays with great range from his safety position. He is explosive breaking on the football and also plays sideline to sideline. Lyke's size makes him an asset in run support, but this weekend showed he has excellent coverage skills as well."

2016 McKeesport safety Khaleke Hudson
Sunday recap (No. 12 performer):
"The 5-foot-11, 204-pound Hudson was one of the most physically impressive defensive backs at this weekend's event. He was used all over on both offense and defense during Saturday's pool play, but was locked in at safety for Team 412 on Sunday and was very effective. Hudson made several pass break-ups along the sideline and showed good reaction time. His break on the football is definitely sufficient, but can get better."

2018 Penn Hills WR Julian Major
Saturday recap (No. 9 performer):
"There is a good chance we look back three years from now and note this as the weekend Major announced himself to the recruiting world. Playing for Team 412's underclassmen squad, Major tore through opposing defenses who really had no answer for him. The 6-foot-1, 162-pound freshman is a smooth route-runner and he made some excellent fingertip grabs. Expect college coaches to familiarize themselves with the freshman from Penn Hills very quickly."

Here is the full Sunday recap.
