WVU's team is the only one officially in Wheeling at this point but I would imagine the TBT reads this board and know that Pitt playing in Wheeling is one of the greatest ideas ever.

I was going by the actual TBT website. That said, still a major major W. Its an SMF world, you guys are all just living it.
The Lair posters going should do a meet-up at DiCarlo’s. I swear by that Ohio Valley-style pizza!
What's great about it is that its a dry run for the next time we have a pandemic and if this goes well, I would 100% expect us to be playing our home games in Wheeling.

It's not obvious at all. Your claim was that the University of Pittsburgh should move to play it's home games at the Wheeling Civic Center during the 2020-2021 season because COVID restrictions made playing at the Pete a problem.
On what planet is The Basketball Tournament selecting this as one of their regional sites and Pitt playing there any kind of a validation of your notion from back then?

I wonder if you are the TBT, how you set the brackets up. You HAVE to have a Pitt/WVU game but you cant risk setting them up for a regional final since its likely both wont make it there. This tournament is basically a crapshoot. I think you probably have to set them up to play in the 2nd game so you give them easy 1st Round opponents and it ensures 1 home team advances to the regional semifinal which will also be in Wheeling

The 2nd game sounds like a smart option. It’d be a bonafide hit both with attendance and tv ratings (relative to other TBT games).

I like SMF. I honestly think his posts were genuine for a while but no one on the board took him seriously, so eventually he started throwing out his outrageous ideas to get reactions out of people.It's hard to know with him.

Trolling has its place. Take Phil for an example. He doesn’t bat .1000 but he can be witty and funny. But this thread just doesn’t make sense.
Generally agree. Whoever the other person who continuously creates names can be funny too. He could cut out the racist crap however.

Well, my original Wheeling idea was when it was announced that all athletics events in Pennsylvania would be required to have its participants wear masks. So I said you cant really do that in basketball so they should play in Wheeling where they wouldn't have to. Then later in the day or the next day, it was announced that college and pro athletes would be exempt from this rule because apparently they cant they spread virus like high school kids.
Pretty sure that’s also Phil. He is funny, even when he takes personal shots at me.
