The Good
--Our D got 7 sacks and gave up -8 rushing yards! Price was a monster with 4.5 of those sacks.
--Peterman was great for most of the game, and he hit some tight windows and didn't throw a pick against the best quartet of intercepting DB's in the country.
--Ollison ran strong and effectively all day (152 yds, 5.4 yds/carry), becoming the 5th freshman Pitt RB to pass 1,000 yards. This was against a team that gives up 109 rushing yds/gm at a stifling 3.1 yds/carry clip (Pitt for the day: 246 yds, 5.5 yds/carry). He even was successful on a couple of those toss sweeps fans hate, but an Lville fan told us earlier this week they are highly susceptible to those.
--2 double-digit victories in a row against ACC teams with winning records
--Whitehead's use on offense continues to be successful and is appropriately not overdone.
--8 wins in a season is the most any of our players have ever experienced at Pitt.
--Ford & Challingsworth continue to make some plays and look like nice complementary WR's.
The Bad
--Maddox and Webb continue to look worse than they did earlier in the season, with each having a couple flat-out bad plays a game.
--We had our first 2nd half "loss" of the year against an FBS opponent, being outscored 10-3 after halftime. We're now 8-1-1 in our 2nd halves against FBS teams.
--Piggybacking on that, the offense had no rhythm at all in the 2nd half. Ollison ran fine, but we had too many passes in a row at times and just never got it going other than the 74-yard, 4.5-minute drive for a FG in the middle of the 4th.
--Again piggybacking: Going up 42-17 should never result in a nail biter.
--Winslow today was beginning-of-the-year Winslow.
