Good read. Hopefully they hit many of these goals, especially reconnecting with alumni and boosting donations.

In my opinion, the fundraising goal should be #1, but maybe they feel that they can't say that.

It [fundraising] very likely is the number one goal. That said, it would be silly to make it number one...as you want people to buy in to the other goals...which nearly all of them will depend on fundraising to do, then get to the money part. People usually stop reading when they see or feel that they are going to be asked to give money. So my view is the plan was constructed well. They obviously had consultants and paid some serious cash to produce this plan. Plans are great, but it is execution and reaching the goals that matter. Here is hoping they meet or exceed all the goals set forth. Hail to Pitt!

I think this serves very well as a foundation for how things operate. It's aggressive and sets an agenda. But it's foolish to believe that those goals are attainable without significant financial support.
