Should have the lead, so there's no way we can settle for less than a td opening drive. And then we really need to pressure the qb, it's sad how much time qbs have to throw against us... combined with no coverage whatsoever, it's pretty hard not to pick that defense apart.

They were playing with a lame-duck replacement coach. They've got a very good, experienced headcoah now. If Pitt vastly outscores our total from last year (and we would have had friggin' Weah just held onto the ball) would you be bitching about that??

Very true. But it's obvious as hell how much worse our defense is. It was actually a pretty good unit last year. Now, it's just garbage.

I really believe we'd only have 1 loss if House was coaching the D and that is something I thought I'd never say. Sure maybe in a few years with his players Narduzzi will redeem himself defensively but he has turned our defense into swiss cheese.

I think we'd be worse. That guy knew nothing about football whatsoever. I will say though we'd 100% be undefeated if we had any kind of defense whatsoever, I mean like give us bowling green, Ohio, Toledo, whoever's defense... good enough with how good our offense is.

Honestly Pittx9 I don't know how you think he'd be worse. I don't ever remember our defense looking like terrible when House was here. Not even close. And we all thought House's defense wasn't good.

Pretty lame pass rush, even when Kaaya hangs in the pocket. This is one of the main issues right now, no reason for the QB to rush, and leaving your secondary on islands.

2014 our defense was much worse. I mean much, much, much worse. I don't statistically, but I do know our offense second half of the season was near Oregon level. And we were 6-6. 51-48 OT loss to duke?

This year is pathetic you're right about that, but personally I think house had so much more talent. We seriously just have terrible players right now. And the Chryst/house regime recruited most of them lol.

One thing we can agree on though... 2 of the past 3 years to have completely disgraceful defenses is just unacceptable.
