OK, so we know Ohio State as this massive giant of a program.....and they are. Something kinda odd though. In the last 3 years, they lost exactly 3 games. VT in 14, MSU in 15, PSU in 16. So, of OSU's 3 losses, Pitt beat 2 of those teams in the year they beat OSU.

I don't know what that means exactly. Certainly I am not implying Pitt is better than OSU. However, I dont think it is completely meaningless either. Maybe it means that there is not this perceived massive gap beween a program like Pitt and a program like Ohio State.

There is a massive gap between Pitt and O$U:
O$U is a win at all costs program.
Pitt is not.

So if OSU played at Heinz last night, what would have been the score? 55-10?

I don't think we would have beaten them but I watched a PSU defense that we made look like a middle school team dominate the OSU offense.

The issue goes deeper than football.

OSU certainly not as strong as last year, especially on the defensive end. Still would not surprise anyone if they won out from here.

Will Barret still be in the Heisman watch after that poor performance?

Urb looked like he mailed that game in a week ago. They never adjusted to what PSU was doing to them on defense and I'm pretty sure he convinced his team the white out was going to be scary. Take nothing away from PSU but there are times when Urb comes off as lazy.

All that said, he still has an inside lane to the playoff so really, that game didn't matter too much if they win out the regular season.

No. And he shouldn't have been going into the game.
Agreed, the kid can't throw a forward pass. That is why the comparisons between OSU and Clemson are incredibly short-sighted. Watson makes Barrett look like a high school kid. Clemson also has a group of receivers that rival any collevent team.

Imagine Juan Price coming off the edge against those tackles the way they played on Saturday night. I don't know what the NCAA record for sacks in a game is, but it would have been in jeopardy.

Pitt would have beaten the OSU team that played on Sat. at Heinz under similar weather conditions. We would have taken advantage of their ST, our weakness is pass defense and they did throw the ball effectively, and if PS manhandled then then we surely would have since we were far more physical than PS. OSU is more talented, but the one that showed at PS was not very good.
