Just read that single game tickets for Pitt vs PSU (and PSU vs Michigan) won't be available until July 11th, and will only be available to PSU season ticket holders and PSU club members.

Also they are on tiered pricing. The Pitt game is within the $95-150 tier, the highest.

Funny, we aren't important to them in their eyes yet it's the biggest ticket.

For the "older" generation this is the biggest game on their schedule. For everyone else they are just trying to cash in on something that will only take place one more time up there unless something happens to renew it which I highly doubt.

Or just maybe there are a few still pissed off up there that in 2000 to get a Pitt ticket at three rivers they had to but Temple tickets too. Oh well.

Provide the link please. We usually give out 5-10 grand of tickets to away teams.

I just talked to my buddy who is a regular season ticket holder. He just found out today that regular season tickets holders cannot purchase extra single game tickets for the Pitt or Michigan game. Only those season ticket holders who are considered premium can purchase those tickets. Also, I looked on stubhub and the tickets for Pitt are more expensive than the Michigan game.

Stop the horse$hit. I'm in the 900 point total in the NLC donations base, and have no notice of
the posters complaints.
Which equates that my wife &I have given over $60 k in donations over the past 13 years to benefit all of the 'student athlete

Thanks for clarifying. How much you donate. And how many points you have. Now can you elaborate on how many tickets the 900 point level folks can buy for the Pitt game, and when they can purchase them? Thanks.

I work with a guy who is a long time nitter season ticket holder. He was going to try to get me a couple extra tickets for some friends (I already have mine). They sell their single game tickets first to season ticket holders in groups. You get an email that tells you that you can go to the web site and buy tickets starting on this date at this time. His date and time was three or four weeks ago, sometime before Memorial Day. He went in right at the time he was allowed to start buying. Pitt and Michigan tickets were already sold out before he had a chance to get them. So unless they are holding some tickets back for individual sale to the public, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense when you have season ticket holders who want to buy them, the Pitt and Michigan games are already sold out.

On the plus side, he told me that plenty of tickets remain for Indiana, if I wanted to go up to that one!

Also, I want to add that I am sure that they have held some number of Pitt and Michigan tickets back in an effort to entice more season ticket sales. "The only way you can get Pitt and Michigan tickets is to purchase a season ticket package!" And obviously if they don't sell all of those that they are holding back those will go on sale at some point. Although you'd figure that once again they'd give season ticket holders who got shut out in the first go round the chance to buy them in that instance.

Do you always quote others posts and then comment something unrelated?

Me thinks the "S" is for special ! You know, the world campus.

You can see those sweet throwback uniforms.

It was on DK site. Agree, this doesn't include the allotment for Pitt (or any away team) that is reserved for them.

This is the same thing Pitt did as well last year for the PSU game. I have no complaints.

The Pitt game is selling for more on Stubhub than the Michigan game and there are a thousand fewer tickets left meaning they are selling more.

It is a ridiculous assertion to think this game is "just another game" for Penn State.

Also a point I was trying to make.

I decided not to buy season tickets but in my conversations with the ticket office, it was very clear that Michigan and Pitt (not Nebraska, not nearby Rutgers) were the games they were marketing. They told me that they didn't expect single game tickets to be available for Pitt or Michigan along with the sales pitchy stuff about how everyone is excited about the Pitt game.

Make no doubt that Pitt makes Penn State money.

Penn State very seldom sells out. Unless they bring in a blue blood, Pitt guarantees a sell-out at an expensive price. Syracuse, UVa, BC, etc just aren't going to do that.

you do realize that all of us here have been banned from bwi for doing 1/20th of what you have been doing here....kind of gives you some level of understanding the tolerance level of Pitt folk and that of members of the Branch Joevidian cult does it not?

NLC? National Look-away Club?
