We lost bc we didn't play good enough defense, too many breakdowns, in addition to struggling on offense, which is certainly understandable against UVA. That and we obviously aren't exactly loaded with talent.

UVA isn’t good though. This isn’t like at their place where it was a good loss. No game plan besides give the ball to Hugley every single time? Someone else has to score. With how many touches he got early, he was exhausted, couldn’t play well late and ended up with 7 turnovers.
UVA just kept their dribble in the 2nd half and took it to the rim. Pitt seemed content to surrender easy layups.
This is the best person they could find for this "Three Day Weekend" show? Hell, I'd spend 2.5 days trying to get away from this lady cause she ugly

I understand why he gets the ball. I’m questioning giving it to him every single time, making him the playmaker for the team, and his minute usage. His efficiency, which is just ok as is, is gonna get worse in February. He would make the same impact on the game with 5 less minutes and be refreshed. You have to do SOMETHING to try and develop some other options
I just hope that the Odukale Eurostep returns for an encore performance.
Yah, nice call. I guess it was all those fouls that made us look clueless handling ball screens and getting pinned down on screens several times giving easy lanes to the basket. Maybe we would have had a couple guys foul out if we hacked them instead of letting them make uncontested layups. No team, even a team with real talent, unlike Virginia, should ever shoot 70 percent in a half. Don't blame the refs for our inability to stay in front of our man. That was the same defense we played against the Cuse and got whacked and the Cuse actually has some kids who can score.
We're just a little Covid Chaos away from an 8-seed.
