Pitt vs VT Game Thread

What a douche beginning. That announcer needs punched in the mouth. Turkeys in the middle of sandman? Lame
 
I was actually wondering if Poteat was ever gonna see the field at all. Hopefully he does and can provide something.
 
VT just squeaking out first downs... let's put them in a hole, and get a TFL
 
All this kid can do is run! Keep him in check and we win this easily!!!... DO not get in a QB running game... Keep this weak-ass kid in the pocket
 
Need to hold them to a FG. That long 3rd down conversion was bad.
 
Just a bad breakdown there.. when we had them in a 3rd and 17.. That really hurts.. Hope we bounce back here.
 
Expect to see them look for Boyd down the field on 1st down. Quiet first quarter for him.
 
Caprara missed his assignment on that last 3 and 17 and followed a receiver right instead of covering the TE coming off the lin .

That was a momentum killer.

Still... Love lots today.

Love to see Narduzzi barking at the team before the game... And going right over to the special teams coach.

Love this new defense. Love how amped up the team is under Narduzzi.

Love the one - two punch of Peterman and Voytik.
 
Galambos has looked better and better every game this season.
 
Okay... Not liking some of the play calling with Peterman.

Frustrating to see Peterman run on 1st 2nd or 3rd and long.

If Chaney wants the QB to run... He needs to just keep Voytik in.

Looked like Ford had a step on the d-back on third down. Peterman needs to get rid of the ball occasionally as opposed to scrambling.
 
Amazing how things are spun.. No mention of the existence of/injury to James Conner and there is 2:36 left in the half.

Huh? They've mentioned it at least twice, and they also put a graphic up on the screen that said he was out for the year. What more do you need?
 
The graphic was the first time.... They have gone on and on about the injuries to the VT guys.. QB, etc... It is singlehandedly, the biggest injury in the conference..
 
Where is Ollison.

Again... These running plays with Peterman in is a waste of time and downs Chaney.

Step it up OC. The defense is doing their part.

Go with what they give you. They are getting in too fast.

Embarrassing offensive play calling.

Think it's time to see what Voytik can do.

Peterman has 11 carries, including sacks, and the rest of the team has 10 - not exactly getting the ball to the best runners.

obviously. It is like this OC wants to show that Peterman can run as well as Voytik
 
I agree at this point Peterman should be the starter. Unfortunately, this game just happens to be one where Voytik more fits their offensive strategy.

Possibly, Joe.. It's possible I missed it, sure.. But you get my point.. We saw 4-5 graphics and videos referencing their guy's big injury. However, doesn't surprise me.. with the NASCAR segment, and Bojangles and Food Lion commercials..

You are right.. my dad just called and said the same exact thing.. Voytik's skillset fits these conditions today..
 
As odd as it was, I think Pitt had it right mixing in Voytik early in the game. Only complaint there would be to mix it up a little bit. The one play VT knew it was a QB draw and were pretty much fully committed to it. A couple more plays with Voytik and maybe some trickery with him involved and maybe we make a big play out of it.
