Pretty sure this is right - we play Nebraska on day 1 and Creighton on day 3 .

Correct, it will be the season opener essentially. Think of it like the Champions Classic in basketball when Duke/MSU/Kansas/Kentucky play.

Their core is pretty much intact. Bergen Reilly, Laney Choboy, Andi Jackson, and Harper Murray are all pretty young. Will probably have a true Freshman playing at middle and they'll be young at OH.

I think their only question is if they are moving Landfair to RS and letting a freshman play OH, or keeping Landfair on the outside and freshman coming in to play RS. They have top talent at both positions coming in, but I expect Landfair will start somewhere since she has one year left. Like Dan said really the only key players they lose from this past year are Lexi Rodriguez and Merritt Beason, either Mauch or Choboy will be the new libero with little drop off and they need to fill one pin position. I expect they will be a near if not unanimous preseason #1.

I think Choboy is better but a lot of people like Mauch.

One of the freshmen is a middle/opposite. May just come down to who looks the best early but it seems like the schools that allow freshmen to come in and take their lumps benefit later in the season. PSU is a great example of that with Izzy Starck and Fisher has quite famously done the same.

My outside takeaway from this is I hope that they bring the showcase to Pittsburgh next year. It would be an awesome environment to hold either at the Pete or PPG.
