We somewhat stayed with
them in the first half. Fell
apart the 2nd half. There
was a clear difference in
talent. MD looked like
what we're going to see
in the ACC. They had a
height advantage, but it
was more their forwards
being able to move, score,
and rebound rather than
one dominant Big. MD
hit threes, scored inside,
pressed and got out on
the break and ran. They
were able to do with a
faster pace, what White
was trying to instill
here the past four years.

I saw this game as a talent
difference more than
anything else. I thought
we could have kept it to
maybe a 15 pt. loss
instead of 24.

The good news....we're
actually playing basketball
as opposed to the helter
skelter outta control style
of the past few years. Amy
looked so much better. She
settled, distributed, and
hit a shot or two and
wasn't a TO machine. Our
talent is getting better,
but it has a long way to
go. Same as the men,
If we're in the A-10,
we're at the top of the
conference. Unfortunately
that 5-0 start was a
result of playing a bunch
of cupcakes (exception
Duquesne). ACC brings
us the real world. Today
was ACC level.
