Pitt junior Meme Sharp is the defending ACC Champion in the 3-meter and finished 13th at last year's NCAA's. She has the best scores on the 1-meter and second best in the 2-meter in the ACC this year.

Julian Krug has been Pitt's men's and women's diving coach for 38 years and won the ACC men's diving coach of the year last year en route to coaching Pitt's Dominic Giordano to the university's first ever individual national championship in diving. He's very well respected in the profession and his daughter was the top US Olympian in the 3m.

So it depends on which diving programs you are comparing it to. It is competitive.
