Rivals had some issues last night so my Posts went up twice. Woke up to find that Pitt has Two Players that set NFL Records in both NFL Conferences in the AFC & NFC Playoffs.

Pitt's Larry Fitzgerald did it once in the NFC, but Dion Lewis scored 3 TDs in the AFC Different ways.

I Stand Corrected, Looks like One Pitt Player in the NFL Tied and Set Another Pitt Player's records in the NFL. Maybe one day Penn State and WVU Player will match it but so far not in the recent Two Decades or Two Centuries!

Either way, Penn State and WVU are still chasing Pitt Players Records in the NCAA & NFL, Pitt Little Brother's Land Grant Colleges that hired many Pitt Graduates in the 1860's still are looking up to their Big Brother and Pitt embraces the encouragement and say welcome to the challenge with mutual gratitude.

Smart Recruits Choose Pitt Is It & Sets NCAA & NFL Records:

Larry had a memorable football career at the University of Pittsburgh. Larry's 2,677 receiving yards make him one of the top receivers in Panther history and Big East Conference history. In his sophomore year, Larry had an awe-inspiring 92 receptions for 1,672 yards and 22 touchdowns. In 2003, after just two seasons, Larry broker the school career touchdown record with 34 touchdowns, and holds and incredible streak of at least one touchdown catch in 18 consecutive games. Additionally, he remains the first player in Panther history with back-to-back seasons totaling over 1,000 receiving yards. As a result, in 2003 Larry was the winner of the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award, an award reserved for the best player in college football, the Fred Biletnikoff Award, presented to the nation's top college football receiver, and became a Heisman Trophy finalist.

Had one of the best postseasons of any player in NFL history during the Cardinals run to Super Bowl XLIII in 2008, shattering the NFL single postseason record for receptions (30), receiving yards (546), and receiving TDs (7). His 30 receptions surpassed the previous record of 27, shared by Carolina’s Steve Smith (2005) and New England’s Wes Welker (2007). His 546 receiving yards surpassed Jerry Rice’s 1988 total of 409 yards and his seven TD receptions topped Rice’s 1988 total of six.

Pitt's Larry Fitzgerald joins some elite postseason company
Posted by Michael David Smith on January 19, 2016, 6:20 AM EST
Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald has taken a place in the NFL record book alongside some elite, Hall of Fame company with his postseason performance on Saturday.

When Fitzgerald raced 75 yards on the first play of overtime against the Packers, it took him over 100 yards for the game. That was Fitzgerald’s fifth 100-yard postseason game. In NFL history, only Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin have more than five 100-yard postseason games; Rice had eight and Irvin had six.

And when Fitzgerald subsequently scored the game-winning touchdown against the Packers, it was his 10th career receiving touchdown in the postseason. Only Rice and John Stallworth have more than 10 postseason receiving touchdowns; Stallworth had 12 and Rice had 22, a record that may never be broken.

Fitzgerald has done all that while playing in just eight career postseason games. Rice played in 29 career postseason games, Stallworth played in 18 and Irvin played in 16. Fitzgerald hasn’t always been on good teams, but when he gets to the playoffs, he always delivers.

Dion Lewis made NFL postseason history with his 3 touchdowns vs. Texans
Lewis had a big performance in a big game.
Lewis had a historic game, becoming the first player in NFL postseason history to have a rushing touchdown, receiving touchdown, and a kick return for touchdown in the same game.

The Kansas City ChiefsTyreek Hill made the same feat during the regular season against the Oakland Raiders, and became the first rookie to do so. Gale Sayers also accomplished this touchdown trifecta in 1965.

Lewis’ first touchdown came from this 13-yard pass from Tom Brady, where he sprinted down the sideline and cruised into the end zone.
