I think at this point it's
fair to assume that
Burton is the best choice
to be our starting pg.
Femi had a bad game
overall today, and
unfortunately he looks
more and more like
Bad X. I know that he's
talented, but IMO we're
better off with him on
the wing. I like how he
gets to the hoop. But
unfortunately it's often
at the expense of the
offense. He has to start,
but I see a better role
for him than at PG.

BTW, Ezzy also played well
today. He can be at the
point as long as Burton or
Femi is on the floor with
him.

A lineup that I like on
occasion is Burton, Femi,
Ezzy, Gueye, and Hugley.

I believe Burton had 0 assists and 5 turnovers

I agree. And what's become on Santos? He's mastered invisibility.
St. John's physicality was
too much for Santos. He
struggled against that D.
Right now Ezzy is getting
some playing time because
he can handle the ball.

Femi's game has gotten
worse. He's trying to do
too much. As I said above,
he reminds me of Bad X.

You're right. However I'll
take his 20 pts. and his
control of the team, the
offense, and his maturity
much more over Femi's.

The team actually runs more
in sync when Burton, Femi,
and Ezzy are on the floor
together.

Nate needs to find his role. He needs to spot up and be ready to let it fly. Too often isn in position to do anything. Also has been very tentative when the first one doesn’t fall. He could really help this team if the light would go on. Badly need his thre point shooting. Femi is not g it done

"His role." Well, as I've
been saying, take him off
the point. He's talented,
but IMO not a pg. Lately
he's trying to do too much.
Rather than run the offense
he tries to break it down
off the dribble. He does get
to the hoop, and does draw
fouls, but it's an offense that
is way out of sync with him
leading it. Burton showed
me a lot today, not just his
20 pts. He has maturity,
leadership, experience, and
should have the ball in his
hands more often.

My two cents.

As a team, turnovers are a common occurrence and assists a rarity for us.

So you can’t hold that stat line against Burton, it’s our MO.

I like his 80+ FT %. That’s not our typical MO.

Someone needs to make a shot for you to get an assist !

I posted: get the ball out of Femi's hands late today.

He is playing horribly now. That said, I think he is still the best option at point guard. Needs a bit of molding.

No problem, we can agree
to disagree on that. I see
him increasingly becoming
a liability with the ball in
his hands. As a pg, he's
reminding me of Bad X.

Earlier in the year - not long ago - Nate was finding his spot in the corner early in the “set” and on breaks but nobody with the ball knew he was alive. And that was after making 3’s when you could see he was on.

Santos missed his first 3 pt shot against Monmouth, then turned into Xavier Johnson and started driving to the hoop and missing. I didn't understand that. He needs to keep shooting 3s, even if it's just to space the offense out a bit. Hugley has been consistently double-teamed the last few games.

I remember those drives to the basket by Santos and thinking I would have preferred for him to take the outside shot. But I also recall those drives not being forced, I’ll-advised or out of control. He actually had a good lane to the basket on all of them but doesn’t yet have the touch. He put all of them too hard off the glass.
