Hey Jerry, reading my copy of today's Wall Street Journal(8/21/15) Sports section (D7), I particularly enjoyed reading the article entitled "Coaches Wake Up to New Sleep; Stat". Article featured a HUGE picture of PITT coach Pitt Coach Pat Narduzzi entitled "Pat Narduzzi Pittsburgh first- year coach, has moved into the dormitory for the duration of preseason camp just to make sure his players are getting enough sleep". A good majority of the article related to the University of Pittsburgh. I hope you had the opportunity to read it. I love the Wall Street Journal (National Publication) originating from the New York (Media Capital of the United States).

Jerry hoping to see many more articles in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette relating to PITTSBURGH'S (hometown) college football program- PITT.

Hey Sam keep the articles coming.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

your going to miss the PG when its no longer a daily paper. city dailies are circling the bowl. the PPG has been stripped to its bones. the trib was propped up by a millionaire's need for political self stroking. how much longer do you think that's going to last. the PPG has a target audience pitt fb fans are not really in the main target area.

Just wanted Jerry to be aware that PITT is a National Program and would like to see the coverage of (local/PPG) media need to increase.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

Yes, accompanied everyday by a UPS camp story of at least equal or larger size. But, strangely, there was no reference to Boyd's incident today; It must have been an oversight.

I love the hyperbole. Good stuff and very Pitt proud! That's the spirit we need.
But, for the sake of serious discussion, it is an inaccurate statement. Definitely more Pitt links and coverage.

No offense, but that's silly. The Pitt camp story has been on the front page of the sports section almost every day since camp started. The Penn State stories have not. In fact stories about the Hoopies at camp have been on the front page about as often as nitter stories have been.

For instance today the Pitt story was on page one. The nitter story was on page four. There was also a photo accompanying each that were approximately the same size. Yesterday both stories were on the first page, but the Pitt story was above the fold and the nitter story was below the fold (and directly below the Pitt article). There was only one college football photo in the sports section and it was a photo of Chad Voytik. On Wednesday they had both a Pitt and a Hoopie article on the front page, the nitter story was back in the section. And so on.

Since camp has started Pitt has clearly gotten better coverage than the nitters in the PG. The difference is that the PG spent all summer writing several puff piece per week on Penn State while essentially writing nothing about Pitt.

There you go. Expecting the PITTSBURGH Post Gazette to have better Pitt coverage than the Wall Street Journal.

I think what chaps people here is the PG put more investigative effort into Heather Brusch's imaginary MBA from WVUCC (like it would have mattered if it was real) than they did Jerry Sandusky's transgressions.
