The only chance to salvage this season is to win the ACC tourney. The lack of effort and consistency is partially, not all, but due to lack of depth. There is no difference in an extra conference win or two this year in the regular season. As such, I propose to sit Toney, Champ, and XJ until the ACC tourney. Give collier, Jeffres, and Max significant minutes. That will be worth more than practice time and even if we lose by 50, we are not selling tickets this year. It will help us see any potential flashes and rest up the big boys for a potential run. There was a point in time where this team could compete with everyone except Virginia. No reason that can’t happen again if focused and re-energized.
