Playing Madden on Xbox with my kid, made me wonder why we don't install a cover 2?

Okay, so I will admit that Narduzzi probably has skid marks in his undershorts with more college defense knowledge than I have total. But why is it that he does not install a defense that could compensate for weak corners? Some zone def like cover 2, etc? Is it pure hardheadedness or is there something I am missing?

Second question--with Wade watching the game Thursday, do you think he walked away from it thinking "Man, I can walk on the field and start tomorrow for this team in the ACC, what an opportunity!" or was he walking away shaking his head thinking "Why the fuk would I want to sign on to play for this defense?!"...

He doesn't believe in "Safety help." He wanta his Safety's close to the LOS to help stop the run. Safety's are in 1 on 1's all day and he needs them to make plays. Our CBs are incapable but he wont change his philosophy. At this stage though, I don't know that he can change up his defense on the fly. They dont even practice having Safety's help or doubling a WR.

I would have loved to see how Narduzzi would have covered Larry Fitzgerald. Fitz had a Safety helping on him on every play.
