PODCAST: The big picture, the small picture and everything in between

Good podcast. Just tuned in this morning. At one point during your commentary you discussed where the fault lies in our inability to run the ball. Is it the scheme? Is it execution? Is it talent? My answer is simple; it always comes back to the same place for blame....it's coaching. If the scheme is flawed, that's on the coaches. If the execution is bad, it's on the players and the coaches who are instructing them. If the players lack talent that's on the coaches who recruited them.

Changes need to be made.

It is the coaching, but in particular the talent Narduzzi brings in. His first 4 years, when he had Chryst recruits on the line and at RB, Pitt ran the ball well, and at points was among the best in the country running the ball.

As soon as those guys were gone, which was last year, the running game completely fell apart.

Yup his recruiting has not been impressive in the OLine dept to say the least. Nor for TE's.
