Another top WPIAL recruit committed to a school other than Pitt on Saturday, and while I think there some "one year trend" elements to what we're seeing in the class of 2017, it's worth talking about - and I may have found a couple answers.

No question Pitt has lost out on some big name 2017 recruits to other schools.

So in taking a step back, I look at it this way. Who are we not getting that we may not get someone as good or better.

We will probably no get a MLB as good as Adams. We may or may not get as good a CB as Wade. Who else? What position?

Next year we may not get a QB as good as Jurkovic. Who else?

Screw perception, the biggest thing about recruiting is who you get, not who you don't get. We didn't get some local kids but we will, for the most part, get kids as good or sometimes better. And that is what counts.
