7.7 PPG in the A10 and 29% from 3 point range. Next please.

Again, YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO SHOOT especially on a team who cant shoot. If we had ND's shooters, sure, go ahead and bring in a PG who cant shoot.

SMF Analytics says that if you cant shoot, you can't be on scholarship.....unless you have some other elite-level skill. Basketball is a 3 point shooting contest. When will people realize this?

I like him. Great defensive player dishing out almost 5 assists per game

Give me him and the PF from Brown.

Players have roles, not everyone needs to be a scorer. We don’t need players fighting over their number of shots.

If Pitt has any, any chance at all, we need to make 3s and we only have 1 guy on the team who can do it and he's inconsistent.

We need guys who can make threes over people, because Capel doesn't run an offense that is efficient enough to get good shots. We are one of the worst power programs in the country at generating makeable shots.

Ideally, those guys could also use their length to defend the perimeter better. Murphy and Horton were inconsistent because they are slow and/or lawn gnomes (comparatively speaking, obviously) trying to shoot over people. I realize there are plenty of guys at those heights who are very successful shooting the three, but our offensive scheme... well, what scheme?

Point guard -
Assists for to ratio more important as is defense than shooting

we need a facilitator

On a team with bad shooters.......nope. We have no chance if we dont have guys who can make shots.

If we're talking about Duke or UK, I'd agree with you. Any PG we get has to be a good shooter

Even more important is getting a player who can facilitate the offense. Point guards don’t have to be great shooters if they can distribute the ball and play defense. Being a great shooting PG is a plus.

On a team with nobody actually creating offense for others ?
Yeah
It’s the top priority .
Shooting is a bonus
We desperately need a jrob or Woodall type pg

Exactly
Great minds

Give JRob a Covid yr !

Your PG needs to be a threat to score, unless you put 3-4 high level scorers with him.

29% from 3 does not scream "Threat to score"

He needs to be a threat but not your main scorer. We had a guy this year that really had no idea on how to distribute the ball.

A point guard who can get the ball to the big fella is exactly what we need. AND we need a guard that can shoot, AND, AND, AND. We need all the above and then some

How’s is his 2 point %
you can score without being a great shooter from distance
He averaged 7 PPG in the A10 so its a pretty safe bet that this kid is no threat offensively. And I highly doubt he is this master facillitator. We would be adding a non-scoring option to a team who cant shoot. Makes sense. Imagine him and Jeffress on the court at the same time?
