I'm just trying to get an understanding of our fans attendance habits, since people are so critical of fans who don't attend every single game, every year.

75% live within 100 miles of Pittsburgh. 70% within 50 miles? 25% IN PITTSBUTGH! Where are all the people that live far away that are sacrificing for the program, there are a few. But it's pretty bad to be berating people living 4 hours away about not coming to every game, then bragging that you drive in from Squirrel Hill for every game.

80% of those that go every week LIVE WITHIN 100 MILES! Really not that many dedicated fanatics driving in from anywhere.

We drive 300 miles one way and for those who are math challenged that's 600rt + hotel bill $ 200-300, + food+drinks+tips+gas+tolls+anything I forgot!
Where are all the I live In Pittsburgh people??? Oh I get it the Russians hacked the poll!

That's great, that's what YOU want to do. Doesn't make you a better "real" fan. There's no OBLIGATION to do or pay anything to be a fan. You can never go and give nothing and be a REAL FAN. I'm also a HUGE, DEDICATED Penguins fan and haven't been to a game since 1996 when Lemiuex and Jagr where playing, and that was in DC. Haven't been to one of their games in Pittsburgh since '92.... STILL A HUGE FAN.

I don't really need to make any excuses. I go WHEN I WANT TO GO, WHEN IT FITS MY SCHEDULE, I'm not in any way obligated to do more, and even with that I AM STILL A HUGE PITT FAN. There's no "litmus test" all you are obligated to do to be a HUGE FAN is just SAY "I am a huge fan". PERIOD, you don't have to give anything and you don't have to attend any games in person and you are free to say and comment and criticize any way you want.
