Poll: How far can Pitt go??

I voted rd of 32; think it's a coin toss vs Wisc; X OTOH is a much tougher game. Not sure that this team has the personnel to match up with them. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we get 1 win; shocked if 2; drunk if 3 !
I have us losing the first game
I posted this before and I'm negative nancy I guess. But the whole of your history is not a trend or meaningless stat. yes its possible we could play lights out and win 1, or even 2 but when your banking on having your best game, and the other team not showing up its not a good bet.
We have 2 wins EVER against higher seeds.
1 barely higher 8-9 game against Colorado, where we were the vegas favorites..
in 1981 we beat a 7 seed Idaho as a 10 seed in overtime.
To think we are going to get to the sweet 16, with 2 upsets..after watching this team all year is not realistic to me. Hope I'm proven wrong.

Agree with you on everything but I think we can upset Wisconsin as they aren't nearly the team they were a year ago.
Depends if Pitt can make some 3's and plays good D. We'll see
The Wisky match-up doesn't seem too bad - we seem to have a size edge at guard - I'm not expecting Wisky to have super quick guards, but that's just a guess. They do have a bunch of 6-8 type guys who could give us trouble inside.
Cam J. and Jamel A. (and possibly Chris Jones) are the keys. If they are hitting shots, we should have a good chance.

I think the first game is really a toss up so saying Pitt will lose game 1 isn't being negative at all. I voted for Pitt to win the toss up then upset Xavier in round two but that is as far as I see them going and that is a stretch.

Grinding out a 53-51 win over Wisc...... Leaping over Xavier who comes out weighed down with expectations but ends up falling flat on their face..... Then the much anticipated rematch in the sweet 16...... with Notre Dame, same result as the first one..... such a magical run ends with Pitt getting their doors blown off by UNC again (who then goes on to win the title)

as an odd aside, did anyone notice the new 'smart bracket' for those too lazy to make their own picks? i opened one just out of curiousity and it gave me UNC losing in the first round...

Beating Xavier would be a very tough feat...but can be done depending on which Pitt shows up...
We'll see...
Artis needs to play extremely well in the Wisconsin game for PITT to have a chance. He is one of the most inconsistent players from game to game. His passing and shooting from the top of the key will drive this team to either a win or defeat. Wisconsin won't press on either end of the court, forcing PITT to execute and stay patient. Hopefully that patience leads to some easy backdoor cuts and open shots like the Duke game.
Spot on Moe, Flip a coin. Pitt can win the first two if they decide to show up. After that its doubtful as the lack of high end talent will doom them.
It is hard to envision pitt playing four straight halves of really good basketball in the NCAA tournament
Hate to be a Debbie downer but this team has no heart and that has been apparent for the past year or so! We are physically and mentally soft compared to the great Pitt teams!

The most voted response is out in round of 32. I feel like we can beat Wisconsin, but actually stringing two wins together (against solid teams) is too hard for this team...

He will likely be matched up at both ends with Wisky's best player, Nigel Hayes, who is a better player at both ends IMO and will get the better of the matchup.
