As @DT_PITT said in a recent reply to @gary2, the list of players in the portal looks formidable, but given the lack of Pitt's BB success over the past several years, it seems unlikely that Pitt will get any of the top transfers to come here; so don't get too excited ... (sorry for paraphrasing

And it got me thinking: what if the portal players all go elsewhere, and Pitt's left "holding the bag"? Do we even have enough returning bodies to field a team? How many walk-ons would we need to fill a roster?

I will already predict that @PittPoker will respond to this post with another of his "Moe and Phil are best friends, yadda, yadda, yadda". But as much as I'd like to be optimistic for the Pitt Men's BB program, how close to being "The Titanic" are we?

BTW, if today's games are as exciting as last night's, this will continue being a fun tournament to watch. As Mark Packer said on ACCN this morning, if you didn't enjoy the first round of the Sweet Sixteen you need to be watching something else ...

Wow what an amazing coincidence!! Moe starts a thread, mentions me bringing up how him and Phil are good friends, denies it now as usual. And voila!! Within 5 minutes of Moe's post here comes Phil to add to it!! But nooooo, there's no way they like um talked about doing this right before Moe posted. Nah, no this is all just a big coincidence!! Just like years ago when Phil was bragging on here that Moe laughs with him at how much Phil creates new handles and bothers the board.

Hey Phil just a suggestion. I know you aren't the brightest bulb in the shed, but maybe you should wait more than 5 minutes after your butt buddy partner Moe makes a thread before you MAGICALLY appear. Just a thought lol.
