Portal per Vuk

The Manning family? You me Eli's relatives, Eli drafted by the Chargers and refused to play for the Chargers , because they were a lousy organization at the time? That Manning family is sending their own to "Pitt" for the money?

I got it. Tomlin's son migrating back to Pitt because Dad signs 3 year extension and the kid wants to go get a good grad school degree in business....

Based on Pitt’s history of getting big-name, average QBs, I’ll guess DJ Uiagalelei.

My guess is a 3 star player. Vuks definition of big players are usually mediocre

If this is true, this has to be a QB or big-time local guy coming home. I dont even know who is in the portal or could be in the portal who could fit that. We lose about every WPIAL recruit who PSU, Mich, OSU, or ND offer so I guess it could be a lot of people. But would people care all that much if a backup from PSU came here? It might be a nice addition but wouldn't generate much buzz. Going with a guess that its kind of a known QB that Bell has some type of relationship with. BTW, I had no idea that Kade is Kerwin Bell's son. I dont think I have heard the name Kerwin Bell in 30 years.

OL transfer from Florida.

From Philly. Originally committed to Michigan. Instead went to Baylor.

Transferred to UF.

One year left

There have been talks that Alabama backup QB Eli Holstein might be coming to Pitt. I have no idea if that qualifies as a "big one." Also doesn't seem like someone that size would be an ideal fit for this offense, but I don't know (as has been pointed out, the QB doesn't actually do a ton of running in this offense).

Prior to Florida

Would any of the names listed here generate the level of interest Vuk would have you believe? An OL nobody heard of?

No. If it happens it will be a splash name of some kind, I’m guessing a name brand QB who just lost his head coach.

These guys are barking up the wrong trees with the OLs, DLs etc.

Right. It has to be someone Pitt fans have heard of so that can really only be a QB or a local guy who went elsewhere. DJU fits this bill nicely. Everyone has heard of him. He lost his coach and wouldn't be guaranteed to start at a lot of places.

Vuk is adding a weatherman to his growing operation. Weather guys says it will rain or snow this winter
