Not that there is anything wrong with that.
My take.
His team has problems with talent and depth, and yes he bears responsibility for that. But he also deserves credit for getting excellent effort and production from a severely undermanned team. He easily could have lost this group several times throughout the season, but they are playing hard and actually improving. I'm not saying that he's the long-term answer, or even next year's answer, but he is doing a good job of coaching the team he has.
Yes, It is hard to figure out what took so long, but I still give credit to Mo and Burton who came from other programs and have a team first aura about them that seems to have permeated throughout the group.
A lot of Pitt fans are going to be real pissed when Capel keeps his job.
Why would they not be pissed? The guy is somehow in his 2nd rebuild of his first rebuild in year 4

Right!? Some of these dudes are seriously amazingly stupid, why would anyone not be angry if Jeff Capel keeps his job? He wasn’t brought here for moral victory hype videos after beating a 9-11 Syracuse team after successfully being an absolute laughing stock since he’s arrived and somehow it’s gotten worse, these moral victories are embarrassing and anyone who would be ok with Capel and his staff of cheerleaders is just as embarrassing
That's great. But I want to see a trend, not just a game here and a game there. I'll wait until February and see if he and his players show up. Even if they lose, it would be a good indication of their commitment if they hustled, played defense and rebounded like they did last night.
Chris Mack had a legit title contender 2 years at Louisville and is now out. We will win around 20 league games in 4 years and accept it.
This is a little different since it's not his Twitter. Don't know who handles that account, but I'm guessing it's not him. Certainly not Marion level self promotion.
It is mind boggling how Dixon wasn’t good enough when he made the tournament 3 out of 5 years, but people are willing to accept 4 straight losing seasons from Capel.
Who Marion or Capel? I haven't paid attention to Marion since he left, and Capel's isn't worth looking at.

Well , when Pitt has unlimited funds and is willing to anything to get recruits and win then we can compare programs .

1) I watched and rooted for Pitt. I can’t stand the Boeheim(s)
2) I’m intelligent enough to see the big picture and this staff isn’t gonna get it done
3) 99 percent of posters recognize that Syracuse team as trash and while enjoying the win doesnt change our future

Plenty of people say more negative thing than I do but yet you always seem to comment on mine.
Femi odukale was awful yesterday. I remarked multiple times before the season he wasn’t an ACC level PG. I was yelled at and yelled at. Did I post about how bad he was yesterday until now? No.
Same with Jeffress. Even in finally the appropriate minutes, still not good enough. Did I post about how he’s a traffic cone out there? No.
do you know why I didn’t? Because I, like others, were enjoying winning a basketball game. It’s fun. I wanna do more of it. It’s a shame that the few dolts who still support this staff have to come on here and beat their chest every singular win and say SEE SEE like we’ve beaten someone good. We still suck, but you and your like have to try and beat your chests about being 3-6 instead of 2-7 in year 4. Not me man, but have at it

I’ve been watching the same team as you , but for a longer period of time and I don’t blindly support every coach or player Pitt has had . The Pitt administration has ruined Pitt athletics multiple times through the yrs and made blindly following them a chore . It’s been very difficult to follow the bb program for the last 6 yrs . The coaching changes have just been abysmal. While signing JC I viewed positively no one except a very few idiots thought trading JD for KS was a good move .
I doubt JC will ever achieve a level of success at Pitt that will satisfy the fan base , but I’m also doubtful that his successor, whomever they are , will either . There’s something amiss that makes targeted high value recruits choose other programs over Pitt and this isn’t just a JC issue , JD also had major problems in this area his last three yrs at Pitt . Behind his senior class he left KS virtually nothing other than Cam , who was an afterthought recruit brought in late when he couldn’t fill the scholarship and Luther who was only offered when he lost out on all his primary targets .
Bottom line even though I’ve lost any hope that JC can return Pitt to its glory days I can find positives when they occur and I doubt Pitt wants to replace him right now with the amount of money owed to him . Unlike the Mack and Louisville situation there’s no looming for cause firing and huge buyout discount.
You have no balance to your posts, according to you everybody on Pitts team sucks or would be better off at a mid major and when they play well the other team just sucks worse. You disappear when they win and hammer them when they lose . I actually think JC is doing his best coaching of his time here at Pitt right now and with a few good portal guys next yr might be interesting .
I usually only have good things to say about our social media team at Pitt. But they could have picked a better picture for that tweet because it doesn’t fit the subject matter. That’s what stood out for me. He’s not showing any energy in the pic.

This is another guy WBR who loves to come and attack any poster who is dare crititical of Capel and the BB team but now when it's obvious to anybody with a pulse Capel sucks, he disappears. Will never admit he is wrong either.
