I believe that there will be 1 H and H with PSU in '26 and '27. PSU does not want a 2 for 2 with anyone. They are looking at their P5 part of their OOC schedule for enhancing their chances to get into the Football Playoffs. They cannot look at anyone as a rival from this philosophy. They will look at all the old eastern teams of Syracuse and WVU, BC, Temple. etc and Pitt the same way.

The current 4 yr agreement came about because Miami pulled out of a 16 and 17 home and home with PSU AND Curley knew that Paterno was retiring at the end of 2011, before all hell broke out over Sandusky. Also, Dave Joyner, Interim AD and played for Paterno back in the 60's, extended to 18 and 19, because he felt PSU football would be weakened from the santions. Also, it was for the older generation that remembers the haydays of Pitt and PSU.

This updates us to now and the national playoffs and how the Big Ten top teams are reacting to their OOC schedules to get into the Final 4.

I'm kind of confused by this statement..

Many Pitt fans, players, and coaches have had bad experiences there. Shady McCoy shared about the Pitt football bus being bombared with rocks. This was the 13-9 game in 2007. Jamie Dixon and his assistant being barraged with pennies and small change. This is why Pitt delayed renewing with them for so long. When Scott Barnes was snowballed by PSU in renewing the series after 2019, He signed the 4 yr WVU series from 2022 to 2025.
