- 30 seconds into the game, Purdue will take a 2-0 lead. PittPoker will proclaim the season over. Phil will login and make fun of James Robinson's weight.

- At the 10 minute mark of the first half, Pitt will take a 20-19 lead. PittPoker will declare Pitt to be Final Four bound. Phil will change to his third username of the night after the first two are banned.

- At halftime, Purdue will have a 37-36 lead. pittizit will start a thread calling for Jamie Dixon's firing because he simply can't recruit well enough to compete against good teams. Phil, on his 5th username of the night, will misspell Dixon's name 6 times in a post where he makes fun of James Robinson's weight.

- With 8 minutes to go in the game and the score tied at 58..... Jamel Artis will score and get fouled. He will miss the free throw, leaving Pitt's lead at 60-58. Despite Pitt being 13-17 at the FT line for the game, there will be three threads started about how Pitt's lack of FT shooting is going to kill them all year and a bunch of responses crying that Jamie doesn't work on FT shooting enough in practice.

- With 3 minutes to go, Purdue will take a 71-70 lead on a three pointer from 8 feet beyond the 3P line. Souf will post about how our perimeter defense still sucks.

- With the score tied at 76, Pitt will have possession. After running the shot clock down to 5, Artis will miss a jumper and be fouled. He will miss the FT, make the second, and just as Purdue (without any remaining timeouts) is about to inbound the ball, Jamie Dixon will call timeout to set the defense. During the timeout, 18 threads will be started about how big a moron Dixon is for calling timeout. Phil, on his 13th username for the night, will post about Jamie only being able to beat cupcakes.

- Purdue will inbound the ball and take a desperation half-court heave at the buzzer that will bank in. But upon further review, the Purdue player will be shown to not have gotten the shot off in time. Pitt wins 77-76!

- PittPoker proceeds to buy Final Four tickets. pittizit proclaims that we will be ACC champs. 80% of the fan base still calls Dixon a moron that got lucky. Phil, after his 16th username for the night gets banned, calls it a night and goes to bed.

Let's see how accurate I am.

This was entertaining. All the boards have similar posters. Including ours.

I'll be sure to come back and lurk and read the fun after tonight's W for the visitors. ;)

Best of luck the rest of the year.

Sounds pretty accurate. On a real note, I think our best chance at winning is going with a smaller lineup most of the game with Young at the 5. Their center is 7-2, there is no way Nelson-Ododa is doing anything against him. Really the only way we can avoid a mismatch at that position is trying to force him to cover Young and drawing him out from under the basket. Gonna be a tough night rebounding as well, need to continue to shoot well.

Sagarin has Purdue by 5, but since Purdue played a bad game after turkey day, they will be focused tonight. It is a TV game for Purdue, they will not want to look bad across the Nation.

Ok. That makes a difference. Because obviously Pitt doesn't mind looking bad on TV across the nation. Only Purdue hates that.

That's as solid a reason as any, I guess.

How about this.... Purdue is playing without Davis.... or with a hurt Davis.... and they are playing in one of the hardest venues in the country for a road team to get a win.

Purdue might win.... but it won't be because they have a greater fear of looking bad on TV than Pitt does.

My predictions:

The team that gets more rebounds will win.

The team that shoots the higher Free throw % will lose.

To be fair, your venue might rank around 8th in the B1G as far as intimidating. You'd be ahead of Northwestern, PSU, Rutgers, and Nebraska.

Are we playing Purdue or Penn State tonight? Really strange posts. Would not be surprised if the Purdue posters are BWI trolls.

Ummm...yeah. I can guarantee playing in Mackey, East Lansing, Bloomington, the Kohl Center, Illinois, the Barn, Iowa, Ann Arbor, and the Schott would be much more intimidating than Pitt.

Um.... Wow... The Peterson in constantly ranked in the top 10-15 TOUGHEST places for opposing teams to play. It should still be a madhouse, even considering the 9pm tip.

And if you really need it, here's proof to back up what I'm saying ...

In your own proof, it showed that 3 of the arenas I said were more intimidating than Pitt were correct. I'm pretty confident in the others I said, as well.

Under what criteria? For one, there might be 5 people in America that share that viewpoint. To say most of those arenas (some of them are very tough venues I will say) are more intimidating can only be backed up by the fact they may be bigger arenas. And honestly that is sometimes not a good thing in college basketball. Would you say Duke is not an intimidating arena? They play in a very small auxiliary gym. But what makes it a tough venue is that the students are so close to the floor, very similar to the Pete. I'm watching the Ohio State game right now at the Schott, 18,000 bystanders just watching the game is literally the exact opposite of intimidating.

I really wish I would have gone tonight's game.

The potential mystique of the Zoo has drawn me in. I've been debating this most of the day, and my only conclusion is I messed up by not going to this game and checking it out for myself.

I will be left to judge the atmosphere with the 7.1 Surround Sound, and it probably won't do it justice.

I have high expectations for the crowd tonight.

Hopefully we keep them quiet early and often.

Are you currently in Pittsburgh?

Hey guys... when you see a REALLY irritating post... look at the number of posts the poster has made and... if it is a very low count.... it is PHIL and he is just being DELIBERATELY irritating.

So, if that happens say hello to him if you want but... don't take anything he posts seriously.

What about irritating posters that have a high post count?
