Does anyone remember their preseason prediction for this team? Very few said 8-9 wins. Especially after 2 major injuries. Many nationally didn't have us going bowling. Everyone said that we lost too much on offense. The O line is too young. This team did as or better than expected this season. We all knew the line was green. The RB's were new, and Kenny was inconsistent. Kessman struggling may have been the biggest surprise.

FWIW
I remember mine, 7-5 hoping for 8-4.

Of course my prediction was really hope because it was based on NOTHING, except the hope that the defense would improve..

I guess my biggest hope for next year is that Mr. Whipple asks his players to "squeeze the Charmin" a little harder...which may get us to 7-8 wins next year....that' s all I got.

I predicted 6-6 with a bowl win to get to 7-6. I didn’t think the offense would be as bad as it was, nor did I think the defense would be as good as it was.

My prediction was looking bad at 5-2 and 7-3, but then the team as a whole just played worse and worse, and now suddenly the 7-6 end result might match.

I said 7-5 and after the injuries to Weaver and camp I didn't think we would get there but schedule wasn't as tough as I expected and finishing 2-3 despite having some games they should have won leave me feeling like this team underachieved.

I expected 6-7 wins. When the team was sitting at 5-2, expectations changed. I mistakenly assumed that Pitt should've won 3 of their final 5 games, especially when they were the better team (on paper) in three of them.

Yikes. Some of you would be happy if the preseason prediction was one win and we won 2 games.

Same as most on here, 6 or 7 wins. Its the way the season went that has people down, had this team been 4-5 and closed with 3 straight wins a lot would be excited even if it’s fools gold.

I had us at 6-6 just because we're Pitt. So I guess that 7-5 is "good".

8 regular season games and hoped to pick up the 9th in a bowl. I thought we’d struggle early (5) games to get the OL together. Turns out we struggled through 12 and never got the OL together. Fortunately our 58th rank for strength of schedule provided some grace.

I said 7-5 with a bowl loss. However, I said that knowing that this program is a pointless waste of everyone's time and that would be the perfect result to continue that trend. Being a Pitt football fan has been like only being able to get shopping channels on TV for 40 years.

I said 7-5 but I didn't think the ACC would be this bad.

Not a mistake, they should have. Dropping to BC was unacceptable.

Exactly, it was unacceptable. Again not solely because they lost but the manner in which they lost these last couple games was pathetic. No excuse for losing to BC...none.

Exactly. People keep saying they beat expectationS, but it doesn’t account for how horrible our ACC schedule was. They at worst should have gone 6-2 in conference...you can’t lose to Miami and BC at home.
