Phil Steele's preseason top 40 came out this week.. I know there is no real reason for him to include Pitt, but I really had hoped that Connor and Boyd could have helped them crack the list.

In front of Pitt are teams like Cincinnati (40) San Diego St (38) Minnesota (36) Toledo (35) .. I would have to think Pitt SHOULD have more talent than these guys every single year.

It also makes me nauseous that PSU is ranked #19. It also discredits this list a bit, because there is no way that team is the 19th best in the country. PSU hater or not, I can't figure out any way to justify this ranking.

I do agree Ohio State should be the top team. After them, it appears the 2015 season should be wide open. I don't see another great team with returning starters everywhere like you could argue Oregon, FSU, and Alabama had last year. I think LSU and Alabama would be my #2 and #3 teams overall.

I see the ACC came in at #8 with FSU, #16 with Virginia Tech, #17 with Clemson, #21 with Miami, #30 with Georgia Tech.and #37 with Louisville. If I had to bet this year, I wouldn't bet on FSU. I have heard a lot of bad things about their off-season - I am not a Gholston believer - and I think the personal issues Jimbo is going through with his potentially public divorce will bleed into their season. I would probably bet on Clemson to come out of the ACC in 2015. I think Virginia Tech is probably the second most talented team. I really do have hope that Pitt could find their way into the second spot at the ACC Championship Game. I don't believe in Georgia Tech and I also believe Miami implodes and Al Golden is fired after this season.

I didn't post a link because the only ones I could find with all 40 teams listed were from TOS. It isnt hard to google though...
