Checking out the Pitt vs Loyola men's soccer game...unlike earlier this season, there are multiple camera angles, in-game graphics, multiple-angle slow-motion replays, and a 2 man broadcast team. Much better than before, and much better than UNC's production of their game against Pitt a couple days ago. I'm impressed. I guess this is indicative where this ACC Network Extra thing is heading, and that's a great thing.

Ha, I was literally going to post this. I was watching the replay of the game last night, and it is so much better. Glad someone else got to view this.

It makes me wonder if it was a dedicated ACC network production crew making the rounds of different campuses in order to get and give experience while the network ramps up. I'd be surprised if all remaining Pitt games are steamed as such this season, but maybe. It didn't seem like a dedicated Pitt broadcast crrew. Seemed to before of what we'd expect for the actual cable channel but perhaps helping to show schools how to handle their own production. I have no idea, but if that is quality for just extra streams, it is going to be great.

Yeah, hopefully this is the norm and produced by Pitt.

I watched a Pitt volleyball game the other day and they had announcers. Can't remember if they had graphics.

But if we have what we had last night, (and hopefully eventually better), I'd be pretty happy.

The volleyball (WKU game) broadcast crew was definitely Pitt's. It had a single camera whose operator didn't do a great job. No graphics or replays. Very typical of previous Pitt stres and very different than what was being produced for soccer last night.
