We joke about PSU struggling to dominate the Central part of the state but that seems to hold more true nowadays.

Army had the ball in PSU territory with 5:00 left down 6 with a chance to win. 2 weeks later, they were in a deadlock with the rugged Bucknell Bison deep in the 4th before connecting on a 75 yard trick TD pass to win by 7.

I know comparative scores can be misleading but I have to ask, how much better is Penn State than Bucknell? Is PSU truly dominating Central PA?

I think the same people on BWI that knew so much about how the Pitt/YSU game on ESPN3 transpired, also said Penn State had the Army game won all along and were never really threatened by Army taking the lead. If most of them weren't so clearly messed up in the head, I would almost feel bad. Every day they have to think of an excuse as to why nobody else thinks they're as great as they think. Just pathetic.

Oh they are. Take a look at their board. They know all about YSU being down 8 and having the ball in the 4th quarter, but no talk of what you just mentioned. Excuses even going as far as the game plan was perfectly executed, PSU was not going into the game with the mindset of blowing them out.

If their game plan is to not blow out Army it must be a year long obligation that back fires on occasion...see:Temple see:OSU....I mean come on...wtf?....game plan to not blow someone out? Who believes this shit?

You are all missing the fact that PSU was just being patriotic Americans and let Army hang around in that game as a sign of respect for their service to our country. Cause that is the kind of decent man Coach Franklin is. If you don't believe this then you hate America.

They make up excuses to look better than they really are. Most of them are completely delusional. I think Temple is a pretty good team. But they're talking about how great their schedule is because they are ranked #22 and the game was on the road. Temple's schedule is so bad that while I think they're good, I don't consider them as tough of a game as a P5 that is ranked or even that is close to being ranked. Not only that but PSU at Temple is barely a road game. Penn Staters take over Philly on that day by a huge margin. I'd think that'd be something they should be bragging about, not that it was a tough road game.

Of course. Because they also said Meyer was classless for throwing the ball in the 4th quarter. You don't try to win, just play hard and everyone gets a trophy. Even other people on their board think some of them are ridiculous, clearly pointing out Paterno had Penn State throwing the ball up by a much larger margin, and against much weaker teams.

Paterno was only doing that so that the opposition had a chance to improve their passing defense. You can't improve if you don't get chances to defend against it. Instead of being critical, everyone should praise JoePa for giving the opposition the chance to improve. Running up the score was never his intention. He only had every kids' best interest in mind.
